Bath towels shedding. Stop your towels from shedding by washing them in the washing machine. Wash the towels in the washing machine in hot water and add 1 cup of white vinegar in with your normal laundry detergent. There are a few ways however to help stop the lint quickly by treating your towels at home with common household products. This will help prevent your towels from further shedding and will also help set the color in your new towels.
Once they have had their cold treatment wash and dry them. Add 1 2 cup distilled vinegar to the rinse cycle and dry the towel without the aid of a dryer sheet. To prevent towels from shedding there are a few steps you can take before you put them to use. One method for getting new towels to stop shedding is washing them with white vinegar.
This phenomenon is called moulting. You should use laundry detergent in addition to the vinegar. Eventually the towels will stop shedding simply through washing them repeatedly but that process can often take months. Like when you buy some new bath towels and find that no matter what you do you can t seem to stop them from shedding little bits of towel everywhere.
Freeze your new towels or soak them in cold water for a day. Wash your new towels with either vinegar or baking soda before. Put the towels in the washer alone with no other clothing. One method to preventing towels from molting is to first wash them in a load of hot water and one cup of white vinegar.
